ZigZag is looking for a Solar Technical Support Engineer to join our team!
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Solar Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to customers, installers, and internal teams regarding our solar energy systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, supporting system configuration, and ensuring optimal performance of solar installations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support queries related to solar energy systems.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues with solar panels, inverters, monitoring systems, and other equipment.
•Guide customers and installers through system setup, configuration, and maintenance procedures.
•Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams or manufacturers as necessary.
•Maintain accurate records of support cases, solutions, and system performance reports.
•Provide feedback to product development teams based on recurring technical issues.
•Conduct remote system monitoring and perform periodic performance checks.
•Assist in the creation of technical documents, FAQs, and training materials for customers and staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Experience with solar PV systems, including installation and maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in electrical and solar technologies.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Proficiency in using monitoring software and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for customer satisfaction with solutions centric attitude.
• The ability to analyse single-line diagrams (SLDs) would be a significant advantage.
Preferred Experience:
• Knowledge of solar system design, grid-tied and off-grid configurations.
• Previous customer-facing technical support experience.
