How you’ll make an impact
The Senior Accountant role plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
They help drive financial efficiency, accuracy and compliance across the business.

What you’ll do
A confident individual contributor, you’ll support the smooth operating of the finance team by:

  • Creating the invoices for some of our largest and most important customers
  • Reviewing revenue, to ensure all work completed by our workers has been invoiced
  • Creating credit notes when required
  • Assisting with month end completion and reporting, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the accounts receivable process by providing required information to account managers
  • Updating financial and cash flow forecast models
  • Maintaining and continuously optimising Sidekicker’s finance processes
  • Ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by the Head of Finance
  • Ensure effective communication within the business unit and with the rest of the business

About you
Critical Competencies 
  • Must be able to work accurately and to set reporting deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to foster long-standing business relationships
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and delegate responsibilities
  • Thorough technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
Experience
  • Must be a suitably qualified Accountant with strong current Technical Knowledge.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the delivery of the core accounting functions and governance frameworks
  • Experience working with an Australian Business preferrable
  • Technology industry experiences a distinct advantage
