ZigZag is looking for a Marketing & Events Assistant to join our team!
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Marketing & Events Assistant to support our marketing, events, and business operations. This role is ideal for someone with a marketing background who enjoys a combination of creative work, digital marketing, event coordination, and administration.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager and leadership team, you will assist with content planning, social media management, event logistics, website updates, SEO activities, and a range of administrative tasks that help keep projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Support
Research and develop content ideas for social media, email campaigns, and marketing initiatives
Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
Maintain and manage content calendars
Assist with campaign planning and execution
Coordinate marketing assets and ensure materials are current and organised
Monitor marketing activity and assist with reporting
Website & SEO Support
Update website content, pages, blogs, news articles, and event information
Assist with website maintenance and content management
Support SEO initiatives including keyword research, metadata updates, and content optimisation
Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Assist with Google Analytics and website reporting
Events Coordination
Manage event registrations and attendee communications
Coordinate attendee lists and event databases
Organise accommodation, travel, venue requirements, and event logistics
Coordinate event merchandise and promotional materials
Support event delivery before, during, and after events
Assist with post-event reporting and follow-up activities
Design & Content Creation
Assist with content creation across digital channels
Experience with Adobe InDesign is desirable but not required
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in marketing, communications, events, or administration
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools
Strong Canva skills
Understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing best practices
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console is desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
