ZigZag is looking for a Settlements & Servicing Officer to join our team!

Our client is a non-bank lender specialising in bridging loans. They fill a gap left open by traditional lenders by offering the only flexible and dependable  bridging loan product in the market. They use technology to revolutionise the bridging loan experience and provide a solution fit for the expectation of today's customer.
 

Less than a year after launch, we passed $1 billion in loan applications, and this is just the start!

The Role
They are looking for a first-class Settlements & Servicing Officer to join the team. This role would be suited to someone who is passionate about joining a high-growth start-up in the fintech space, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
 

In particular, you will:

  • Work closely with our Credit, Sales and Operations team as well as brokers and clients directly, to provide support throughout the settlement and repayment of loans
  • Ensure all supporting documentation has been collected and meets the requirements specified by the Credit Policy
  • Accurately prepare loan documents instructions to be issued to panel lawyers for funding and loan discharges
  • Ensure internal systems and tools are kept up to date with progress throughout the settlements pipeline
  • Check and record the sale status of security properties
  • Liaise with Credit and Sales teams to ensure loans are moved through the pipeline within SLA
  • Support with portfolio monitoring for customer milestones, conducting thorough portfolio reviews to ensure continual progress and timely discharges throughout the journey
  • Manage servicing tasks related to the lending process, including but not limited to supporting with the collections process, arrears management and statement preparation
  • Manage security packet record keeping for all electronic packets
     

The role requires:

  • A good understanding of the mortgage loan process from application to repayment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Someone who thrives working in a fast-paced, agile environment
     

Ideally you will have:

  • At least 12 month’s experience in a loan admin or settlements role
  • Experience and an understanding of loan servicing and collections is fundamental
  • Some lived experience in this space, and a good understanding of the mortgage loan process from application to settlement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Tenacious attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A track record of getting it done. You favour delivery over talk
  • Passion to learn and develop, the drive to get stuck in and own your area of the business
  • Strong organisational skills - you will be managing multiple files, requests and identifying process improvements
  • A friendly, energetic, authentic and helpful approach to your work
