Furniture Designer & Visualizer | Remote | Dayshift

Ortigas, Pasig City, Philippines
Full Time
Mid Level

ZigZag is looking for a Furniture Designer & Visualizer to join our remote client team!

The Role

This is a hybrid production and creative role - part technical, part visual. You'll be responsible for producing all detailed technical documentation that goes to our factories, as well as creating the renders and 3D visuals that bring our designs to life for clients and across our marketing channels.

No two days look the same. One day you're producing shop drawings for a hotel fit-out, the next you're generating AI-assisted renders for an Instagram campaign. Strong communication skills are a must - this role requires confidence on calls with both our internal team and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing all detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom furniture and joinery projects, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for production

  • Creating and managing .DWG files across all active projects

  • Building comprehensive design packs for factory production

  • Checking shop drawings and supplier documentation before production

  • Developing 3D models of custom pieces from brief or reference imagery using SketchUp and AutoCAD

  • Producing photorealistic renders for client presentations and approvals

  • Creating AI-assisted renders and lifestyle visuals for marketing and social content

  • Coordinating documentation with the design team and assisting with prototype development, sample reviews, and design refinement

  • Maintaining organised drawing registers, revision records, and project files in Dropbox

  • Monitoring documentation deadlines and communicating potential design or manufacturing issues proactively

  • Collaborating with the interior design and marketing teams on content production and presentation visuals

  • Assisting with material library management and finish documentation

  • Supporting the creation of client-facing design presentations and pitch decks

  • Assisting with the design development of new product ranges, from initial concept sketches through to production-ready documentation

  • Contributing to the development of the business’s internal drawing and documentation standards as the team grows

  • Building and maintaining the full technical library for existing products, ensuring every piece has complete, standardised, production-ready documentation

  • Generating AI renders and lifestyle visuals of existing products across different colourways, finishes, and settings to expand the visual library

  • Supporting Carrie and the interior design team with mood boards, space planning drawings, and client presentation decks

  • Producing before and after renders for commercial project case studies and marketing content

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp - essential, non-negotiable

  • Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills - Rhino, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with AI image generation tools for design and marketing applications

  • Strong knowledge of furniture construction, manufacturing processes, and materials - including timber, metal, stone, glass, upholstery, and furniture hardware

  • Experience documenting custom furniture, joinery, or interior products

  • Ability to interpret design concepts and resolve technical construction details

  • An eye for design - you understand proportion, materiality, and what good furniture looks like

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload without close supervision

  • Comfortable working across time zones with an Australian-based team

  • Fluent English - written and verbal, essential. You will be required to join calls and communicate directly with clients and the wider team

What We Offer

  • Full time remote role

  • Collaborative, fast-moving team with real creative input

  • Exposure to high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects

  • Clear pathway to grow into a senior drafting or design coordination role as the business scales

  • Exposure to an expanding international project portfolio

Growth Opportunities

As the business grows, this role has the potential to expand into design coordination, client liaison, and

team leadership. We're building something big and we want people who want to grow with us.

ZigZag is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. We believe that talent knows no borders, and we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to help us shape the future of work.
