ZigZag is looking for a Senior Paraplanner to join our team!

*You must be willing to report onsite from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm/6am to 3pm Manila Time. The office is located in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Due to increasing adviser demand and the need for stronger leadership in our paraplanning division, we are seeking a Head of Paraplanning / Senior Paraplanner to lead our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with daily SOA production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal SOA Production

    • Prepare 1 Statement of Advice (SOA) or Strategy Preparation per day (approx. 3-4 hours)

    • Ensure personal SOAs meet compliance and quality standards

  • Paraplanning Team Leadership

    • Liaise directly with advisers to manage SOA requests and expectations

    • Review adviser strategies for completeness and feasibility before allocation

    • Manage the schedule and workload of 6 paraplanners

    • Ensure a 3–5 business day turnaround for all SOAs

    • Provide guidance, feedback, and upskilling to paraplanners

    • Contribute to team growth through recruitment input, training, and process improvements

    • Monitor and ensure delivery against productivity and quality KPIs

  • Supported By

    • A dedicated Financial Planning Administration Team to assist with data entry, client record updates, and policy research

    • An Internal Compliance Officer to provide oversight, guidance, and support on regulatory standards and AFSL obligations
       

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in paraplanning within the Australian financial planning industry

  • Proven experience managing paraplanning workflows or teams

  • Strong knowledge of superannuation, insurance, retirement planning, and investment strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing adviser deadlines

  • Deep familiarity with Australian financial products, legislation, and compliance

  • Proficiency in Xplan or IFF, including: WealthSolver, Risk Researcher, XTOOLS+ Calm (retirement modelling)

  • Experience with tools such as ProductRex, Omnium, Fin365

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret technical information

  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve paraplanning workflows and team efficiency, with a strong interest in leveraging technology and automation to enhance the quality, consistency, and turnaround of advice documents

  • Willingness to learn and upskill on more complex advice types
